Residual values of trucks

I'm sure nobody will pay MSRP for your truck new. I suspect these percentages are based on MSRPs.

After 10 years and 110k miles with my 6.0 F250, I got over 50% of my purchase back which included tax and license fees. After 16 years and 125k miles with my Mazda B2600i, I got 20% of my purchase.

After 14 years mine is still worth 20% at clean trade in value

And my 7yr old truck is 86%.
I have never believed any price in KBB or NADA.

For 1/2 tons this may be true. But I can tell you that in this neck of the woods Ram with the Cummins diesel has the best resale value in the HD class. They are a very desirable truck that do not last long when listed.

I just traded my 3 yr old ram in. I got 4000 less than I paid new.

Key word is predicted residual. EQUALS SWAG IMHO. The market will determine any of the vehicles' residual value. In the meantime I'll check with my cat.......
