reviews of powerslot rotors for f-250 SD 4x2 2003

It appears we have some brake experts gathered here so I would like to ask about pads. Would a softer pad have better stopping performance? For the sake of this arguement, we can assume there is no significant wheel slip. What type of pad material would give the shortest stopping distances? Where I am at there are no long mountain grades to worry about. I do realize that a softer material will make more dust, and not last as long.
