The new Ridgeline will do fine. My folks have used their '10 Ridgeline to haul their old 17' Hi-Lo all over the country. They've also hauled many loads of bagged rock, multch, cement, household backup generator, and utility trailer full of all sorts of random stuff. It has door sticker payload over 1500 lbs, which is better than a lot of half tons. The real bonus is that it has a much nicer ride than many trucks too. It really put my 2010 F150 to shame moving our household stuff over a small mountain when we lived in Alabama.
These are very capable vehicles, but the "unibody is bad" crew just keep slamming away at it anyway.
