I'm lazy what exactly is their payload and can they be towed 4 down?
I'm guessing less than 1k and NO.
Nice little car though :B
Likely wrong on both!!!
DD 2006 had a payload about 1,500#!!
Not sure about the 4 down towing.
Yep...TFL confirmed that the payload is around 1,500 lbs. I also heard a Honda rep say it will have best in class payload on one of the videos I watched.
The Honda Pilots owners manual states that towing behind a motorhome can damage the transmission... since the Ridgeline and the Pilot share a lot of components I would imagine it would be the same.
So... this "car" tows more than a lot of trucks...has more payload than a lot of trucks..gets better MPG... has a wider bed than trucks in its class... will be as reliable as a ...Honda... and is reasonably priced. I imagine that the truck will get mid 30's to 40 mpg with a diesel (hopefully sometime in the future)
This truck has been available for over 10 years and has proven itself very reliable and the unibody has not been an issue.
Possibly, the future of trucks you all are looking at here.
Unibody vans have already taken over the full size van market. The Sprinter and Promaster chassis cab has frame rails that proceed out of the unit body cab and are configurable in many different ways. Importantly, this Unibody has significant payloads... (5,000 lbs ish)
Thanks!
