Ridgeline a truck? Isn't it still a unibody pulling machine?
I'm sure it will do well in the big cities, countryside not so much.
Not my idea of a "truck", but I'm stupid and it IS 2016...everything has changed..a station wagon, or a semblance of that type vehicle is now an SUV or UTE or whatever..so a "truck, be it whatever with a little bed in it, VW pick ups, Subaru Brat or whatever it was called are now trucks..so with a 1500# payload, guess that qualifies it as a bonifide pick up truck...just not in my eyes, but again...I'm stupid:)
Can it haul a yard of gravel?
"Can it haul a "yard of gravel?"
Two different estimates..more than several variables.
1). A cubic yard of gravel weighs between 2,200 and 2,600 pounds, depending on the type of gravel selected. Washed gravel and limestone base tend to be heavier, while landscape gravel and washed limestone are the lightest.
2).1 Cubic Yard of Gravel can weigh between 2,400 to 2,900 lbs. or up to one and a half tons approximately.
Either way..you got your answer if payload is 1500# on the Ridgeline
Don't get me wrong, The truck has it's applications just like any other vehicle..one just has to look at the numbers that factor into towing and hauling..pretty simple...Guess I'm just use to a truck looking sort of what they've looked like for as long back as "I" can remember, ( will be 66 in July)....
