Rieco-Titan Powerhead

Does anyone have an alternate source for the powerhead or electric motor Rieco-Titan wireless 2500 lb jacks? I have one jack motor that struggles to rotate and all the mechanicals are fine. RT wants $286.42 for their powerhead product # 36741.

  • Wait until you get your Host. Mine is parked at home and I swear the rear jack's have targets on top for the rear gutters to aim at. I cover my camper during the wettest part but cover the heads with baggies during the winter.
  • Any shop that can rebuild electric motors can rebuild it.
  • The motor itself spins rough but the gears and jack leg spin freely and have clean grease. Bearings or brushes seem to be the issue but water intrusion through the cap does not look like it is the problem unless things dried out in last couple of days after our heavy rains.

It still works, but labors lifting that corner. I do not want the next owner to have any issues and am proactively addressing this.
  • When one of my RT power heads failed it was due to water intrusion. The little plastic access cap on top had failed due to the sun. I bought a new power head from RT. Also bought new plastic caps for the other jacks. Swap was easy.
  • And if they can't or won't, call around to a alternator and starter rebuild shop, they should fix you right up. It's a simple electric motor with gear reduction, not complicated at all.
  • I would call the company and see if they can rebuild them. I've had all my HJ motors rebuilt for significantly cheaper than new.
