Right and Left sway control a myth?
Soooooooo.......just got off the phone with the " sway control experts " Etrailer.com. I've wondered and also because I need to purchase one , why people are telling me there is a right and left sway ...

These friction sway threads are always entertaining.
Most of the people who say friction sway control is no good have never used it personally. It does in fact work and is definitely better than not having it.
No, a couple relatively cheap friction sway bars aren't going to work as well as some of the high end hitch setups that cost much more.
Yes, you need to ensure your tires are properly inflated and your trailer is loaded properly and you have proper tongue weight. However sway control is still valuable. Having the aforementioned items done correctly will reduce the changes of sway occurring but sway bars will reduce it even more.
Get 2 bars since you have a 28' trailer. No one ever wishes they had less sway control. If 2 bars prove to make the connection too stiff you can always not reduce the amount they tighten them.
I run 2 and am happy with the setup. Like all things they need to be setup correctly but when that's done they work reliably and as expected. I'd encourage you to get both bars. Also note that the left hand bars can be hard to find in stock, I ended up ordering mine.
