Aug 16, 2016Not bad advice when you think about it. Caulking is the first line of defense when it comes water intrusion. Frequent inspection can only be a good thing. You're just looking for any signs of failure which can and does happen in the first years of ownership. Sometimes factory workers aren't that careful or precise with their caulking applications. I wash my roof a couple times a year so it's only natural to inspect the caulking while I'm up there. Most manufacturers recommend at least once a year.
