Back in 2009, we took some of Route 66 through Oklahoma and through a few towns in New Mexico.
There are still a few neat things to see along the way.
I would pick it up in Missouri/Oklahoma. Hit I-40 across Arkansas, take I-540/I-49 North to Joplin I-44 and turn left!
