I have done Route 66 twice by Motorcycle from Mass. Will be going again this September 2014 again by motorcycle , this time my wife will also be on her MC FOR the trip.
When we finally buy our RV, we will do it again.
I was so taken by the mother road that I have a RT 66 Tattoo from my first trip.
Yes it does go thru Kansas and you should stop there to see the original Towmator from cars and the old , renovated brothel across the street.
Oh yeah watch your speed thru Kansas as the signs going into Galena go from 50 to 25 in 5 MPH increments with changes every 200 yards or so.
