Do have to say the GM tailgate is cool but what is the price of that option and it (as of now) is only available on the top trim level GMC trucks.

Yes, they just looked up the patent and did an artist rendition. I don't think the pic in the link is an actual uncovered tailgate.
I have not seen any actual leaked pics of the tailgate yet. Which is unusual for FCA as they have done a poor job hiding their new stuff before the official launch lately.
