I am not certain about the newer fridges, but in the older units, you lose a certain amount of "uhmph" when you run the unit off electricity vs. propane. Especially on a hot day. I am also in the "better off to run it level" camp. I used to work at an RV repair shop my dad owned and I've taken way to many fridges out of RV's, turned it over on it's head over night and put it back in to "unlock" it as called. Used to be if you ran an old (1970-1980's) Dometic off level for 20 minutes..........out in comes and on it's head.
