Hi,My family and I are planning a trip to Yosemite and would like to know where we should stay. We have a Springdale Travel trailer with one slide. We would like some facilities at the campground. This is our very first trip to Yosemite and I am completely in the dark when finding a campground in this area. Does anyone have any recommendations on where we should stay? Thanks!

Don't have a particular campground to recommend, but this is how I'm going to lcoate ours when we visit later this year. If you will be going to the south entrance, you can locate campgrounds on www.woodalls.com by searching for Oakhurst or Mariposa CA, sort the results by distance. Then I would check www.rvparkreviews.com to select the best option for you.

JMHO - avoid Indian Flat CG just outside of Yosemite near El Portal. Our experience there was not the best.

We have stayed twice at the KOA just outside Mariposa and have been very pleased with it. Have a great trip.

I just got back from a 12 day trip to yosemite in my 20 foot travel trailer. Is there a reason you don't stay in the park? It is most beautiful in the grounds itself!!

Are they closed to non members (Bass Lake)? On the we site they are planning 4th of July activities.

We are currently at Yosemite Pines RV Park off Old Hwy 120, in Groveland, Ca. This place is nice and only 22 miles to the Yosemite entrance. The internet is not blazing fast, but good enough...and don't even think about phone service....pretty non existent around here.

We were going to try Bass Lake as that is where my friends stay but Bass Lake is closed and they didn't know when it would open again. Has anyone ever stay at Yosemite Pines?

When are you planning to go? My favorite is still Wawona inside the campground but still 30 minutes to the valley.

Bass Lake Rv Resort is probably the closest from the 41, since your coming from Saugus.

We do not want to stay inside the park due to animal issues and we have a dog so for safety reasons we would like to stay outside of the park.
