I have been wanting to recover my sofa and dinette but I am NOT handy that way. Give me a hammer, nails, saw, I'm great. Needle, thread, sewing machine, thats where I'll lose fingers.
My sofa folds down, can't remember what kind of sofa, but the cushions are attached. Did you have to remove the whole sofa from the TT to work on it? If not, how did you remove the old material?
