Some doors only have the cardboard honeycomb type filler and little cross support. Just a little bit of water getting in from a vent hole on top of door will tranform cardboard stiffener to mush. Then just opening and closing can do even more damage. If you have to get another door and if you haven't priced them out yet they are exspensive for what you get.
