RV garage driveway length

Make sure it's long enough to wash your trailer and truck out of the garage...

You also want to be able to open all the slides when in the garage.

I'll just add make sure you consider the angle of the driveway at the entrance for the height of the door.

I put up a $100,000 building for my MH. I Made SURE the "door" installed was tall enough to accommodate my MH height AND the height of the AC unit. Everyone measured the RV over and over again to make sure.

Contractor built the building, laid the concrete for the driveway and concrete pad to the entrance, but didn't figure the angle up to the garage...........my MH does not fit into the new building.:(

I don't have a RV garage, but my RV driveway/pad next to my house is about 110ft long and 13 feet wide from the road to the back of the pad. Truck and trailer is about 54 feet. I could have gone probably 30 feet shorter length and have been okay, but I wanted the trailer parked "behind" the house rather than right next to it.

It kind of depends on the street setup as well. I could have gone with a shorter length since I can use the neighbors driveway right across from mine if need be to maneuver. If I was limited to the street width, which is only like 12?ft that would make turning/backing/straightening the trailer with a short driveway more difficult.

You can't have too much driveway but you sure as hell can have not enough. Make it as long as you possibly can! Believe me you'll always be glad you did. No less than the total length of the package but even more is better. The longer the driveway the easier it'll be to line up with the garage. You'll want the entire package to be aligned before you get to the garage door.

I have my 8'4" wide trailer in a 12' wide garage, and have just enough space to open the doors. Since your garage is only 10' wide, you will have a difficult time just getting the trailer into the garage, much less being able to open the doors. So you will need to pull it out of the garage to access the inside, and you'll need plenty of driveway to do it.

I also suggest overestimating the driveway length if you ever want the option of a longer trailer in the future.

The longer the better.

Trying to jockey a 25 ft trailer into a garage with only a 25ft lead-in would be challenging even for the best of us.

Tight fit with a 10 ft door. My door is 14 X 14 ft. I guess once they go to a 14 ft door they have to go commercial and price goes up a lot.
