There's not enough information given for anyone to accept or reject your claims of bad repair work (I usually believe the RV owner, without doubt). In this case, it is perfectly plausible that the original floor sheathing was 1/2" and that it swelled 1/16" from moisture and age. How did you determine the dimension of the original floor?
