This not a hard job. You will need at least 3 people, and good communication along with two ladders.
Start by extending the awning. Leave the outside roller low. Look at the end caps. On some they already have the slot for the awning rope to pass thru. If needed a dremel can make this slot pretty easy. Be sure to deburr and round the edges well to prevent the new fabric snagging.
Once the slots are it order, locate the screws that are keeping the fabric from sliding in the rope slots. I had 4. Two in the roller and two on the TT wall. Remove the screws. You can now begin to remove the old fabric. It needs to slide out evenly from the roller rope slot, and the wall rope slot. One person on the ladder and one on the ground. Installation of the new fabric is the reverse. But another person needs to help the one on the ladder feeding the rope into the wall slot.
Care needs to be taken not to cut the fabric on the edge of the upper slot. That is the feeders job. To hold the fabric out while standing on one ladder at the beginning of the slot. The other ladder person will pull the fabric into the upper slot a couple of feet, while the person on the ground pulls it into the roller slot at the same time. Progress needs to be even. The ladder puller will need to keep repositioning the ladder as the fabric advances. The ground person can walk back and forth doing feeder, and pulling duties, but a fourth person will make it a little easier. Once its in place, put the screws back in and admire it.
