Turning on my computer this morning is like any other time; I look forward to learning about many of you and your adventures. With a short hike completed this morning, I was still in the euphoric “zone” of a great adventure on the trail. All of this feeling is gone now, as I read about the passing of another one of my inspirations, for my continuing adventures. While I never met Don, he was certainly one I had plans on meeting, one day. There are a few of you, as you share your own adventures, I pull out a pencil and map, to record some of your thoughts and places you have explored. Don has been that inspiration for me. Don’s sharing of his travels will further challenge me for many years to come.
If anything, the loss of Don Curley is a constant reminder that we are here for such a short time, don’t waste that time.
Don, thank you, I look forward to meeting, you some day, down the trail.
