Sorry, no I don't. I just went to the Ford dealer where I bought my truck.
I left the old antenna on the roof. The dealer ordered a new antenna and cable and simply unhooked the old cable and plugged in the new one.
I have the Nav system and don't know if it make any difference.
The total cost, including installation was about $350.
Most of the cost was labor, 2 hours.
I didn't feel I was competent enough to take apart the dash, so I gladly paid for the dealer to do it right.
If I had a regular cab or super cab, this probably would not work as the cab over would extend over the hood to far. Where the antenna is relocated the radio works just fine.
  • Just detach the plug that's on the radio and put this one in it's place. It's the same connection. Also, the magnetic aerial comes with a 30 ft cable, which i fed through my passenger door around the firewall. Very easy to install. Some people have even put a steel plate atop their camper and put the aerial up top.

  • What do you do , plug it in the back of the radio or is it wireless ?
    Thank you
  • I got a magnetic aerial for my xm radio which can be put on the front of the truck hood in order to get reception when the camper is on the truck. would that help you?

  • Works intermittently when the TC is on the truck -- not very well.

We're thinking about installing an antenna in a different area (Like the one above)- but we also have MP3, so not a big issue. Radio works fine when TC off the truck, so it's a trade off ...

  • It won't work if the antenna is on the roof. I installed another one near the wipers.

Thats a good question - My SAt ANT is right on the front of the truck roof and signals goes away when I go under a bridge. I bet it will drop out if the camper overhang blocks the signal path to the satellite.
