I also pour a couple of ounces in our Honda when filling it.

I get some detonation under load on my V10, so I tried a can of Seafoam a few weeks ago. 1/2 the can into the brake vacuum line (pouring it into the manifold while the van is idling, shut it off for 5 minutes, then drive it hard) and 1/2 the can into the gas tank. There was a little bit of smoke out the pipe after dumping it into the intake, but not as much as I thought there would be based on what I'd read. To be honest, I don't notice any difference at all. Oh well...

I used it in my wife's Subaru Legacy in the gas tank when we were storing it for 8 months. No side effects at all. The car only had 3,000 miles on it.

What are you trying to clean out?

Old guy, they have regular throttle cleaner, but I would go with Sea Foam

dont forget it has to SIT for about 30 mins I think to actually work. It will cause a lot of smoke while doing it so be prepared. so inject thru a vacuum port and then shut the engine off as specified on the can directions for use.

And yes it does work, but injecting through gas system is just as good I think as its going into the same areas. I put 2 cans in a recently purchased MH (55 gal tank) and it improved as I drove it. Added a bottle of techrone at next fill (25 gals) and it still improved. Engine only had 4400 miles at time of purchase and had been sitting with limited runs prior to purchase.
