plumbed in water softener, hardwired surge guard, sliding platform for my 3000is generator, Maxair vent cover, TPMS, additional shelves in kitchen cabinets. All this before we left on our first trip. This was our second 5er and I knew what I wanted to add to the new one.

Post cover storage for stinky slinky, fishing pole holder, paper towel holder.

I made them. I glued two 1" pieces of oak together and then cut the length and height and rounded the edges to match the original. I primed and painted the wood and drilled the holes. I then got 5" or so lag bolts and put the original bump stops and these wood blocks back on the camper. I also put silicone caulk on as well.
So they are really just 2" wood block spacers.
They did not cost me a dime as everthing was laying around the house.

My first real mod was to add a second water pump switch inside the bathroom. While I had the range hood down I also added inside-operating latches for the vent flap.

My first mod was the addition of a Vortex fan along with a vent cover. I have done a few more mods every year since...

Tilted the bed platform up 4" to alive my acid reflux at night. Changed the shower head to get a proper shower. Probably mount my air compressor in a bay next.

Not much of a beer drinker but I thought most were twist caps these days or is twisting the cap too dangerous and requires a bottle opener. No such hazard with a glass of Gentleman Jack. :)

I think the OP's first mod is a necessity and should be standard equipment on all RV's. :)

Going back aways but on our camper couldnt open the wardrobe door if so much as a t-shirt was laid on it (or 'someone' didnt make the bed).

Took the door off, reinstalled 2" higher-added a 1x2 to lower door opening.
