Seeking advice on towing to Show Low, AZ, from Tucson

It's the downhill I am most worried about. I have installed a Ready-Brake system for the first time and I am worried about how (or if) the Jeep brakes will ever disengage on a downhill. It's even got me thinking of taking the 79 to where it joins the 60 and then going up. That would avoid that drop into the Gila River drainage on 77. Is that a very steep downhill?

I guess I will just pull over if they start to smoke, release the tension on the cable and let them cool.
