Seems odd..

that I went to great length to describe all the shoddy workmanship in our brand new Forest River Trailer, and it never got posted !

I guess if you want to let new buyers what to look out for you need another RV forum

  • This forum is so active that any threads started that don't get a response can be driven way down the list in a short period of time. You might try a search (by author) to locate your threads.
  • I read the thread....my thoughts...person who assembles, person who inspects for final and the dealer who receives the product should all be responsible for a finest product that should not need to be redone. The workmanship in many products is not what it was many years ago when everyone tried to do their best. I used to work on a 30 million dollar aircraft...found things that should never have left the factory with.
  • We use Lenscrafters. Get our eyes checked and then pick out our frames and lenses all in the same place. :B

I read your post this morning.
  • I read your post when it first popped up, so it got posted. It is likely still around, if you page down far enough.

Shoddy workmanship is not a particularly new topic here, but many of the things you had issues with were more likely the result of design decisions rather than shop floor problems. Materials too light, lack of supports, no access in places you would like to have it, that's about designing a different (heavier and more expensive) RV rather than workmanship.

Your post is clearly visible, as of now having nearly a 1000 views, so what's really odd is you haven't apologized for jumping to a conclusion that wasn't. :R
