The Ford 9.75" axle is a slightly smaller version of the Ford 10.25" / 10.5" Sterling axle and features a 9.75" diameter ring gear with 34 spline semi-floating axle shafts. While its bigger brother is found under full-size Ford trucks, the 9.75" model came as standard equipment under almost every modern Ford F-150 and '97 to '06 Expeditions.
