The ballot box can change everything. And unless those states come up with the money to improve infrastructure before then, I'm guessing people will vote to have lights and heat in their homes over electric cars. Mandating things to Americans is just simply not going to work. If you want Americans to accept something new you need to make it better and affordable. As the EV's get better they will become more popular provided the energy is there to support them.My vote is to promote the hybrid vehicles as you get the best of both worlds. Cheap local travel without the fear of going dead on the road when on a long trip.

Give the auto companies lawyers a few minutes, I’ll bet there will be a spate of new ‘hybrids’ that fit the legal definition but act a lot like a traditional ICE.

There are viable alternatives to all electric now and coming. One of course is hybrids as mentioned. One gaining traction is eFuels made from captured co2 and water, then there’s Hydrogen. I’ve been thinking about the Wrangler 4Xe. For my at home needs it would be fine for my normal daily activities in regards to electric only miles. I can charge it at home. As a toad, not so much due to weight. At over 5k lbs not viable with my gasser mh.

Not sure, but have heard the amount of methane produced by cattle increases when cow eats more corn. But a cow will not put on weight fast enough for profit when eating only grass.
They might be out there, but I have never seen a feed lot where bison do nothing but stand in mud from their urine, and eat corn

bison burgers, bison steaks delicious. As long as you don't want them well done.... then tough. But then I refuse to cook any meat well done anyway. Bison roasts are great also.
