Shade for awning that is 9'5" wide?

I have a small (17') Coachmen travel trailer. The awning is 9'5" wide. It would be wonderful to have one of those screens that drops down to block the sun in the afternoon, but they are all for wider awnings. I've searched Amazon and Camping World and a general Google search and can't find any that are less than 10' wide. Anyone know of any, or have any suggestions for a DIY one?

Thanks.
  • leave 3 1/2 inches out per side? but it and put an edge on it with goop, etc.

  • We used 'Shade Cloth' from Walmart and made our own. You can then have it custom fit.
  • I see you are in Florida, contact J&J sunshades... Just google them, they are in
Lake Wales.... Fantastic people to deal with. They will custom make anything you wish.
Reasonable prices, top quality ... They are very honest !!!
( I am just a satisfied customer, not affiliated with them at all)

  • Look in the tarp section at the big block home improvememnt stores. I purchased a 8 x 10 with gromets all ready installed. It was very reasonable. Other sizes were available.

I ended up going with J&J--you are right, they are great to work with. Let me ask you this--how dark does it make the patio area when it is attached? My initial plan was to go with a screen, since I don't need privacy as much as just some shade, but their price was right. Does it let some light in? I went with the dark brown.
