we're using a portable folding table which sucks for various reasons primarily because of a 65 lb husky on a cable!!
we have the same problem with the bbq, but that's another issue!

Yes Steve, the BBQ that came with my camper is pretty lame so I don't use it anyway. And I really prefer to have my BBQ out away from the trailer a little bit. I have one that runs on little one pound bottles.
And like you, I wanted to be able to set the coffee maker out there ( there is an outside outlet right next to this shelf ), have a place to set things like hot dog buns, chips etc. I usually travel by myself so these kinds of "spaces" can be small and still meet my needs.
