I know of someone else who's waste gate stuck closed and did not release the pressure at idle. That cost them a new head gasket.
I am well trained in automotive. I am just not up on the newest computer stuff.
Sorry, but having a piece of the turbocharger compressor go through the tiny holes of an intercooler, through the intake valve, out the exhaust valve, through the turbine of the turbocharger, past the very very tiny holes of the catalytic converter, and past the baffles of a muffler to end up as a visible piece out the tail pipe is very very very very hard to believe.
