shock absorber advise for towing 5th wheel

I have a 2007 Silverado 2500HD Crew cab and tow a 9,000 pound fifth wheel with 1,700 lb pin weight. The truck has the stock shocks and I am looking to upgrade. I have looked at Bilstiens and KYB. Anyone had any experience with them?

Thanks,

The KYB monomax shock is exactly the same design as a bilstein - but the valving and nitrogen pressure are much better suited for a heavy load. I used to be a bilstein guy - now running kyb monomax and not looking back.

  • I like my adjustable rancho 9000s. I can set them from in the cab for any road condition. Craig

Pull an 11K 5er with my 01 Ram 2500, Bilstien 5100's did the trick for me.
