The 3/4t market exists due to driver and vehicle class restrictions above 10K lbs. The 1t SRW exists for those people that are not hampered by those restrictions. If all states allowed you to register for your desired GVWR rather than the maximum possible, you could eliminate the models sold as Class 2B and Class 4.
