If you are unfamiliar with the dynamics of fluids, put a bit of water on a plate and then move it slightly to simulate how the camper will move as it is going down the road. You will find that the water doesn't simply stay still in the center of the plate.

I've been trying to do a similar experiment using a deep sided baking dish to replicate the vertical walls of the camper. I can't get any snow or water to stick to the vertical plane. So I'm guessing you might have sticky water where you're at?????
