I sold my Lance Squire 3000(8'6")to a local smoke jumper..He put it on a dodge short bed 4X4 with the tailgate down..Just saw him the other day and asked about my old camper..He has been using it for the last four years,tail gate down in his short bed 2500 without issue..I thought he might have put supports on the tail gate but he didn't.
