You’d be better off talking to the companies that make the TCs and ask them why they bother to recommend models for long beds instead of just any truck. You could also overload your truck and ask us to prove to you why you are overloaded.

So I'll take it that you don't have any idea if the COG panic that people have has any basis in reality.
Again, I never suggest an overweight setup. Everything well within ratings except the COG is 6" behind the axle instead of in front of the axles.
