Short Question - Short Answer for Lance Camper Folks

Thanks. I'm shopping for one tons. It seems to me that Lance wanted to broaden their market and knew single rear wheel, short bed, diesels were rare, when the 861 was introduced. Thus it was marketed as "3/4 ton capable."

I'll be using my truck as my daily driver and live in the crowded east. Thus a short bed truck is the way, for me at least, to go.
