Should a rubber roof feel soft when walked on?

I just plunked $6000 on a 2002 Franklin ranch 40' fifth wheel. Inside is mint, no water leakage. I know this because when we brought it home, it was not just raining, but pouring so hard my windshield...

If there is vent near where you think it is soft, pull off inside flashing. You may be able to see under there, especially if it is curved roof.

I woudsl rent a moisture detector before I started pulling off the rubber. I can walk on my trailer roof but it still has some give, and its only a year old.
