You sure about that? Here in Missouri you only pay on the difference same as a trade in. Op'er Good luck, I would give it a go.
if you trade it in you pay on the difference. if you sell it yourself you pay tax on the entire cost.
you save 5% or whatever on the trade in value. put it on Craig's list and if it sells it sells, if not trade it in. when I ordered my Chieftain I got the trade in value in the contract with a provision that I could sell it myself prior to getting the ordered one in. put the old one on consignment and sold it about a day before my new one came in.
