shower leak with no access panel

I have a 2007 WW FS26, the shower faucet is leaking behind the shower wall and there is NO access panel. how does one remove the shower manifold if theres no access, the only two possibilitiesi see is to either remove the whole shower pan or cut and make my own access panel. any ideas ? please help .

  • Thank you everyone for the help. I ended up cutting out my own access panel and replacing the diverter. The fitting were loose so I just replaced it anyways. All is good now. I really appreciate the replies to help me out. I hope you all have a great day.
  • My TT has a rear corner shower with no access panel. It had a leak in the diverter which needed to be replaced.

My RV tech called the manufacturer who agreed it wasn't typical to not have an access panel. Their solution was a stand-off that can be used once the old diverter is cut off. Eats up an inch or so of space into the shower, but did the trick.

You may need to check with your TT manufacturer to ask what they recommend for this type of fix.
  • In the trailers I have had, access to the water connection fittings is behind the valve body. Most valve bodies can be removed by removing the 4 screws that hold the valve plate (shower wall portion). You will likely need to use a razor blade and score the caulk around the plate first. Once the valve plate is loose it should pull out exposing the water line connection fittings at the rear of the faucet. I have checked and serviced the shower valve connections this way on 3 or 4 different rvs so I believe most are set up this way.
  • My shower valves were accessed thru a drawer on the bottom of a clothing cabinet on the other side of the shower wall.
