To make washing the bedding easier... buy the inserts for sleeping bags. we got ours at walmart. It's a microfiber type material with a zipper on 3 sides. When it's zipped ... it's a single sized sleeping bag.
You can lay it flat... or use it as an insert inside a sleeping bag ... or zip two of them together and you have a double size sleeping bag that unzips from two sides.
Makes fixing the bed a lot easier...and it's less bulky than washing the sleeping bag.
