Slide problems
OK...had a buddy that's son was getting married....loaned my trailer to him because he had a bunch of family coming into town. Trailer is a forest river 29SKBS.
Next time we took it camping the rear bunk slide would not work. I found that the switch was bad, and the fuse was blown. Swapped both and it blew the fuse again. To try to keep the story short, figured out that the slide motor was bad. I have no idea what caused the failure.
It had a Thomson Saginaw Performance pack 7828696 18-1 drive assembly. From reading online, I guess these are known to fail.
Here it is with the angle drive still attached:

Found an AP 014-125802 18-1 drive assembly online, and was told it was a direct swap. While swapping it, I found the mounting bolts that hold the angle drive and motor onto the wall loose. I tried to tighten them and they just spun. Replaced them all with a size bigger diameter (1/4 to 5/16). When I tried to operated it, I realize it was not that the bolt that stripped, but something in the wall has given way where the bolts go in (new bolts did not grab any better than the old bolts). The drive motor assemble/angle drive has since came loose from the wall.
So...was looking for idea for a fix. Best thing I can think of is getting a metal angle iron that goes the 4.5 inches up the wall and as far as possible out into the floor, and bolt it to the floor, and hope the floor can handle the torque...
The assemble could be moved left or right, or to the other side of the slide rack if I wanted to...but not sure the wall could handle the torque any better in those locations either.
