Since you hear the motor running it's obvious the switch is fine so the next thing I would look at is the so-called "Shear pins". They are simply 1/4" x 2" grade 8 bolts that go through a square tube that located under your slide and runs the length of it. There will be one at each end.
This is what I would suspect However DONT USE GRADE 8 USE GRADE 2 BOLTS that is shear grade they should be silver dont use gold or black unless it says shear grade.
