We wanted the simplicity, stealth, weight savings, the ability to get in/ out/ around inside the camper without having to deploy a slide, and the lower cost and less failure modes of a solid-walled camper. To me, a big point of a TC vs. other RV's is minimalism.... giving up the big screen TV and LR dance floor for the utility and 'coziness' of a small, light, efficient camper.
It's getting hard to find campers withOUT slides: AF, for example, doesn't even MAKE a camper without a slide, so we'll never own an AF. Of the 11 models on Lance's website, only 4 are solid walled, and there's no solid wall camper over 8'6".
"More" is not always "better." I don't need TWO sinks in a space 4'x8'... but I'd love a roomier bathroom. Instead of giving me a bathroom slideout, ditch the sink.
