Yep, gonna make sure it works. That crank looked a little cheesy, the one I have is stout, but will see how it works.

Instead of starting with a large enough diameter shaft and grinding it down to the right allen size, Lance uses a smaller diameter and welds on the end. Here are photos;
I used a socket of the correct size and JB Weld to repair it;
Also, an allen socket would have done the trick, but they cost more and would have broken up my set;
I went with using the original allen end that busted off because it had a deeper reach;
