Pretty much happens every time there is any interruption to the supply chain, i.e. big storm or whatever (higher demand because of cold weather)! As for "price gouging", take a course in simple economics, it's basically "supply and demand"! i.e., If the supply is limited and the demand is high, bingo, the price is going to be high! Dang! On the other hand if the supply is plentiful and the demand is low, duh, you might'a guessed it by now. Yup, the price is going to be lower. If you don't want it at that price, then don't buy it! When enough people don't buy somethng at a price that is higher than they want to pay, bingo again! The demand is lower (fewer buyers) and the price will drop. Almost rocket science! BTW: There's gonna be a quiz and it won't be true or false or multi choice, ya'll who need it, study up!
