Thank you, fellow fabricator-traveler! You see the forest despite the trees (whatever that means) :h
It must be our Polish heritage. You are Polish, right? Seems like I remember that you are, but if not I apologize to all Polish people everywhere including myself! :W
I know from weighing my previous trucks that the camper unloads the front axle by about 200 lbs, so the toolbox actually serves a purpose beyond just storage space.
I’m certain the ditch lights would not pass muster with the light police, so I refrain from using them when they’re on patrol, and tell myself how much of an outlaw I am when I do use them.
The reduced approach angle is exactly why I made it possible to raise the box up if needed. I have two wrenches inside the box for the bolts if I ever need them.
That’s precisely why I’m considering cutting a hole in the bottom of the toolbox rather than the lid. Drop the floor of the box or raise the lid, either way the generator will be able to stand up straight. I think I’m talking myself into that.

But frankly I would hesitate to cut nice box for the pan. It does not look too good, you loose flat deck for potential use and chances are that in couple of years you will buy new, smaller generator and whole thing will loose the purpose.
