Wayne, it seems like a backhanded comment to me. As a moderator I would of expected a higher level of control and courtesy to fellow members. I'm a newbie here but I know on any other forum sites I have used the moderators don't involve themselves in mud slinging. Friendly banter is always fun but that's about it.
Now to touch bases on the PT, the wood that is soft here is interior wood and would not require PT for the build although if they had it wouldn't be soft like it is but this is a maintenance issue. The location that your pissing about me using PT is not an interior application and is exposed to the elements of Mother nature.
Do I have to use PT, obviously no. But if I chose to and it cost me an extra 10 bucks then that's my choice.
I hope this clears up any confusion you may have on the application of when and when not to use PT lumber.
