JimK: Thanks Jim. You've brought up some great points about the wiring. Northstar actually uses 10 AWG for both. I'm fine with 10 AWG for the solar wiring due to the low amperage and short wire runs. As for the 12v compressor fridge, what gauge would you recommend? I'm not too familiar with the amp draw for those.
Silversand: Thanks, Silver. I feel good with this camper, just hope I don't hit my head too much with the lower profile ceiling. :)
Poriggity: Thanks, I think so, too.
DWiekert: You bring up a great point about the real estate on the roof, something I honestly didn't consider. With the issues relating to the Heki, I might delete that so I have more real estate on the roof for panels.
Towpro: I've actually been using a Morningstar Remote meter not a Trimetric. It's been sufficient for my solar monitoring needs.
HMS Beagle: Thanks for your feedback on the Euro windows and Heki. I'm sold on the Euro windows, but I'm seriously thinking about dropping the Heki due to the amount of roof space they use and the reported issues.
bikepsych: Roger, will do. :)
Butch: I hear you on the Heki. I'll probably drop that option so I have the required room for my solar panels.
DieselBurps: Roger, will do.
Bryan: Come on, Bryan. You know me better than that! :) I would never leave the TC fraternity. Yes, my friend, I'll see you out there soon.
Jefe: Thanks, Jeff. Based upon your years of experience and your recommendation, I went with a smaller hard side like you. I'm hoping to get as many years out of my Northstar as you did out of your Lance.
