Depends how many people in the camper and for how long, but yes I unload ours pretty regularly for multi day stays.
Ours self supports jsut fine off the truck, so that’s a plus. I first carried folding sawhorses and a sheet of plywood and then quit doing that.
If just me, I don’t typically lower it much as there’s not much movement. Same if it’s 4 of us and all we are doing is sleeping in it, like at a friends house or something.
If we’re “camping” in it, I’ll take the time to lower it most of the way down then it’s suoer stable.
I also used some ratchet straps one time to x brace it when using it with jacks extended pretty far. It helped considerably but not as stable as lowering it.
