That is one advantage of a TC- small enough to get most places and have all the convenience with you. Our preferred mode of travel/sightseeing etc for all the reasons noted.
But there are many places that having the camper on isn't convenient and or limits what you could do. The ability to off load is nice.
We just returned from about 4 weeks out thru 8 states. We only off loaded one day near Mt Rushmore. One of the planned excursions was driving the Needles highway and Iron Mountain Road. About a 50 mile loop. Would have been nice to have camper but at 11'8" tall we would not have been able to get thru 4 of the 6 tunnels.
As to offloading stability I see 2 aspects, 1st is simple weaving around on jacks. Even lowered ours moves around a lot. I made similar to T/Ls wobble stoppers that secure jacks front to back and another set once truck clears that secures side to side. Makes the camper rock solid as far as movement and what I use.
However 2nd concern is the ground I'm off loading on. If at all questionable I use stands with spreaders like mountainkowboy showed. By themselves will stop any movement but takes a few to set up so only use to add more support for camper where I don't trust the ground.
Most newer campers designed to used off loaded generally don't 'require' something additional-matter of comfort
