A one ton Heavy Duty truck will NEVER ride like a sedan that is just a fact of life.
The best you can do is lower rear tire pressure when empty, and putting on a great pair of shocks.
I am surprised that the big three don't offer some type of air ride front seats. I would believe the current premium seats offer better cushioning than standard seats, but not sure.
I have recently test drove a couple Ram 3500 DRW's both new and as old as 2012 and very pleased with the pleased with the ride all were Laramie's and with power seats. I do know the ride was better than our current 2001 Ram Laramie 2500 with Camper Package.
